Kalshi on Reddit and Discord

Two places matter. r/Kalshi, a community subreddit that grew from about 8,000 to 44,000 members in a year, is where disputes, bugs and strategy get argued in public. The Kalshi Discord (discord.gg/kalshi), with about 40,000 members and Kalshi staff among them, is where you find out in minutes whether the app is down for everyone. Neither is a support channel, and both are full of referral-code posts you can ignore.

r/Kalshi

Flairs tell you what the subreddit is for: discussion, suggestion, news, bug, support. The best threads are post-mortems on contested settlements (the January 2026 NFL refund episode played out here before Kalshi reversed course), fee-math arguments after the July 2026 schedule change, and market-making discussion. The worst are "what should I bet" posts and anything promising risk-free arbitrage. Sort by top, past month, and read the comments on anything about a specific market's rules.

The Kalshi Discord

Larger in active users than the subreddit at any given moment. Channels for general discussion, specific market categories, and announcements. Kalshi team members are present, which makes it the quickest read on whether an outage or a frozen market is being worked on. It's also where new market categories tend to get noticed first. Verify you're in the server linked from Kalshi's own site; lookalike servers exist.

Elsewhere

  • r/PredictionMarkets: platform-agnostic; better for Kalshi vs Polymarket comparisons and regulation news.
  • r/Polymarket: the Polymarket equivalent, crypto-heavier.
  • r/sportsbook and state-specific betting subs: increasingly have Kalshi threads, mostly about promos and whether sports contracts are available in a given state.

Spotting the junk

  • Referral codes: every code gives the same new-user terms; nobody's is "better". Ours is on the referral page with the actual rules.
  • "Support" in DMs: Kalshi support is in-app chat and email only. See how to contact Kalshi.
  • Screenshots of P&L: unverifiable, and the losing ones don't get posted.

Questions people ask

Is there an official Kalshi subreddit?

r/Kalshi describes itself as 'a space to discuss prediction markets on Kalshi' and had about 44,000 members in October 2026, up from roughly 8,000 a year earlier. It isn't labelled as company-run; treat it as a community forum. Kalshi employees do post in the Discord.

Does Kalshi have a Discord?

Yes, at discord.gg/kalshi, with about 40,000 members and a few thousand online at any time. The server description says it includes members of Kalshi's team. It's the fastest place to find out whether a glitch is yours or everyone's.

Can I get support through Reddit or Discord?

No. Kalshi's support runs through in-app chat (menu → Get help → Chat with support) and email; it doesn't offer phone or text support. Anyone DMing you on Reddit or Discord claiming to be support is not.

What are these communities actually useful for?

Settlement disputes as they happen, outage confirmation, strategy threads on fees and market making, and early notice of new market categories. Less useful: picks, 'guaranteed' arbitrage, and referral-code threads.
